What is the NICL?
The NICL is a yearlong intensive leadership training designed to take your ministry and personal leadership to the next level. Dr. Rutland designed this leadership institute for church, ministry, and Christian business leaders.
The NICL now offers two options for leaders and their staff
Option 1: Full Course
The Full Course has a year-long structure composed of four separate sessions consisting of 2½ days of intensive training each. The sessions are held once a quarter and are spread out over a year. This four part, yearlong course is only offered at the Gainesville, Georgia location.
Option 2: Week-long Intensives
Dr. Rutland is now offering week-long intensive training in Lake Mary, Florida as well as North Dallas, Texas. He will compact three regular sessions of his NICL training into one week of intensive study. These intensives were designed to help leaders with a stricter travel schedule or those who want to earn credit hours towards a Master’s degree finish training in an expedited manner.
Certificates of Graduation and College Credit Hours
Participants may earn up to 12 credit hours towards a Masters degree at several colleges or universities. To be eligible for the credit hours, the student must complete the Full Course (Option 1 above) or the Week-long Intensive (Option 2 above) plus one additional session titled, “Communications and Worship,” offered at each location in the month of November.

Option 1
- Attend all four sessions (a full year of the NICL) in Gainesville, GA. Dr. Rutland will teach one session each quarter for a full year.
- This rate allows you to attend the full year by yourself, or you may bring your spouse and up to four additional team members from your ministry to attend this training with you. Dr. Rutland highly recommends training as a team.
Option 2
- Attend a one-week intensive taught by Dr. Mark Rutland in Lake Mary, FL or North Dallas, TX.
- These one-week intensive training compacts three regular sessions taught by Dr. Rutland into one week. This course was designed to help leaders with a stricter travel schedule or who want to earn credit hours towards a Master’s degree finish training in an expedited manner.
- Any student taking this one-week intensive is eligible to take the Communications and Worship session in November for FREE. Attending this last session is a requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion and to be eligible for the college credit offered through this training program.
- This rate allows you to attend the one-week intensive by yourself, or you may bring your spouse and up to four additional team members from your ministry to attend this training with you. Dr. Rutland highly recommends training as a team.
